The University of Bradford, UK, is one of the world’s great technology universities, providing high-quality teaching, underpinned by cutting-edge research with practical applications to solve tomorrow’s problems. The University is committed to helping all its students to lead fulfilling lives, become global citizens, and make a difference to the world. Formed in 1832 as the Mechanics Institute, the University of Bradford received its Royal Charter in 1966 becoming Britain’s 40th University. Always as the forefront of learning and teaching, Bradford opened the world’s first University Centre for the study of peace in 1969, which remains one of the world’s largest. Bradford collaborates closely with local, regional, national and multinational businesses from across all sectors of the global economy ranging from associations with local employers through its employer engagement initiatives, to overseas partnerships including those in Singapore, Poland, Malaysia, Pakistan and India. Global and local partnerships inform the University’s curriculum and provide inspirational work placements. Our curriculum is designed with input from these industry experts and partners, which means you’ll develop skills that are highly valued by employers – along with plenty of hands-on practical experience. Many of our courses have professional, statutory or regulatory body accreditation or approval, giving you the best possible start to your career. You'll learn in world-class facilities - we’ve invested millions of pounds in high-tech learning environments, such as our motion capture studio and Bloomberg Trading Room. Students, particularly international students, who do not have the necessary qualifications for enrolling onto a degree course, can apply for the Certificate of International Foundation Studies. The programme gives you the opportunity to progress onto a wide range of undergraduate degrees across all subject areas of the University.
